The Garden Gate Get a Way is located on a hill surrounded by Amish farms in Millersburg, Ohio. Less than three miles from the inn is the Amish Mennonite Heritage Center which features a 265 foot mural in the round and exhibits that explain the history and the culture of the Amish and Mennonite cultures. The Rolling Ridge Ranch is five and one quarter miles from the property and showcases a selection of over 500 local and exotic animals and birds.
This two story home was built from an Amish school. The property is covered with gardens of perennials and flowering bushes with brick paths and sidewalks winding through the landscaping. A fountain and a gliding rocker beneath the arbor are located in the yard. Complimentary continental breakfasts are served each morning and feature homemade coffeecakes, breads and muffins, and Amish granola, cereal, oatmeal and fruit. Campfires are available every evening at the home in the back yard along with sticks for roasting marshmallows. Pets are not allowed at the property.
The guestrooms at the Garden Gate Get a Way all offer private entrances. Accommodations include private bathrooms with glycerin facial soaps, make up remover cloths, herbal bath grains and over sized bath towels. Televisions with VCRs are available in all rooms. The Garden Gate Suite is accented with green leaf wallpaper, and features an oak fireplace, corner jetted tub, reclining chairs and a bed made up with 600 thread count sheets and a lamb wool comforter. The Rose Garden Room is decorated with ivory and beige striped walls with a burgundy accent wall, and offers a corner fireplace, Queen Anne chairs and a pillow top bed made up with 600 thread count sheets.
