Location. The 1889 WhiteGate Inn & Cottage, located in Asheville, N.C., is less than two miles from the University of North Carolina's campus, overlooking downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Asheville's Folk Art Center is six miles from bed and breakfast.
Features. The 1889 WhiteGate Inn & Cottage is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Refreshments are served upon arrival in the solarium or by the living room fireplace. Complimentary gourmet breakfasts, including WhiteGate Crab and Artichoke Souffle made with a white wine sauce, are served in the dining room each morning. Fax and photocopy services are available upon request. The 1889 WhiteGate Inn & Cottage is furnished with period antiques, furniture and collectibles.
